P.M Satheesh
Chief sound designer and founder of fireflys post sound, P.M Satheesh has 17 years of experience in location sound and sound design. He is a graduate of the National Film and Television Institute Pune, India.
He has worked as sound recordist and sound designer on numerous documentaries for BBC, Channel 4, National Geographic, National Film Board of Canada and the CBC and feature films like 15Park Avenue, Dreaming Lhasa, Mangal Pande and Fakir of Venice. For six years he held exclusive contract for MTV India for sound on live music events and broadcast.
In 1999 he received the National award for best sound recording and design for his work on Kumar Talkies. Soon after he launched fireflys post sound in its present location in Bombay.
He is currently working on the sound design of two animation feature films Arjun The Warrior Prince and Girgit
Shajith Koyeri
Sound Designer/Editor
Trained under P.M. Satheesh, Shajith Koyeri has become the most sought after sound editor and creative sound designer in India. For the last eight years he has worked on over 50 films including Black, Mangal Pandey, BluffMaster, Blue Umbrella, Sawaria, Dreaming Lhasa and Fakir of Venice. In 2007 Shajith won the National award and Filmfare award for best sound work for the film Omkara. Along with his unmatched expertise in location dialogue clean up Shajith also does sound editing, premixing for Foley, fx, ambiance and dialogues. A self confessed perfectionist Shajith works closely with the director as a creative collaborator and partner and brings himself to every film he works on.
Kabir Mohanty
filmmaker/ video artist.
Co-founder of fireflys, Kabir is a filmmaker and a video artist. His films and videos have been shown at the Oberhausen, Rotterdam, Torino, Hawaii, Bilbao, Bombay and World Wide Video Festivals among others.
In 2006 he had a Solo Show with video and sound works at GallerySKE, Bangalore. He has been a part of a few group shows including 'Sidewinder', CIMA Gallery, Calcutta, 'Home and the World', Indo Center for Art and Culture, New York and recently, 'Mechanisms of Motion', Anant Art Centre, New Delhi.
He is the recipient of the Hubert Bals Fund Award, Rotterdam Film Festival; Fond Sud Award, Ministry of External Affairs, France; and grants from the Prince Claus Fund, Netherlands and the India Foundation for the Arts, Bangalore.
From September 2002 till June 2004 he was a Visiting Artist in the Art Department, UCLA. In 2009 he is slated for a large Solo Show at the Chatterjee and Lal Gallery, Bombay with video and sound works.

Vimal Kumar T.K
Studio Administrator
For the past five years Vimal has been our studio administrator ensuring that all the day to day aspects of the studio are looked after. Apart from brewing the meanest pot of coffee in town, Vimal helps to create a smooth working and operating environment so that fireflys can focus on the creative and technical aspect of sound.
Rajivan. Ayyappan
Rajivan Ayyappan is an independent sound artist, composer and improvised music performer.
As a sound designer he has worked on the award winning animation film 'The Printed Rainbow' (Cannes Festival) and collaborated on various Firefly film sound projects like The Fakir of Venice, The Rising, 15 Park Avenue, My Wife's Murder.
He has been using Firelfys facilities for most of his sound installations and compositional work.Some of his recent works as a sound artist are: Petitit laboratoire, Luxembourg; Revenir au Luxembourg; Mass improvised Soundscapes; Telescapes for FIFA World Cup 2006.
He is the co founder of Vedanza, Artists International Luxembourg and Luma Luma a free improvised band performing live concerts in Europe.
Currently he lives in Luxembourg.
Aurelie Chauleur
Aurelie is from France and had been involved in the world music scene for the last seven years. She has helped source contemporary musicians/composers for original background music for films in India. She promotes Indian folk musicians and world music artists as an alternative for independent films.
Aurelie has worked closely with musicians from Argentina, Brazil, Caribbeans, Senegal, Tunisia, Cape Verde, Hungary, Italy and France and initiated collaborations with some of them and Indian musicians for back ground scores, live shows and music albums.
Sreejesh G. Nair
Sreejesh is a film mix engineer and technical manager with a background in Mechanical Engineering (B. Tech) and Audio Recording. He works as a freelance sound editor & designer with fireflys, also responsible for system management,tech upgrade,managing sound library and maintenance. His innovative ways of working with latest software updates help the design team resolve technical issues in the process of creating sounds for various cinematic situations.
He has experience in working on numerous films (Rang de Basanti,Jodha Akbar etc) including language versions of more than 200 Hollywood films such as The DarkKnight, Transformers, 300, Superman Returns, Die Hard 4 etc. He is a certified Protools 210P holder with excellent skills in Networking, Digidelivery and smart jog online media transfers.
Abhishek S
A graduate of School of Audio Engineering, Abhishek started orienting himself in sound design for Short fiction and documentaries. He has also worked as an audio engineer for radio broadcast. Working with Center for Development and Imaging Technology, Trivandrum, gave him experience of recording, editing, mixing and mastering for various films and music sessions in a variety of situations. Abhishek is also well versed with web based sound work. This bright, skilled young man is the latest addition to fireflys core team.
Manoj Goswamy
Manoj has recently joined fireflys as a trainee and is rapidly picking up the basics of sound editing.
